I Himmelen

In heav'n above, where God our Father lives
How wondrous to come there where joy is so magnificent
Where we forever shall see God in the Light, as he is, the Lord of Sabaoth.

And the body which was laid away in soil will become as radiant as the purest gold.
And knows no pain anymore while watching, face to face, the Lord of Sabaoth.

And the soul shall have it's decoration,
The promised crown, the bridal gown of righteousness and then the white robe.
O, God, what delight to be near you to see you in the Light, as You are, the Lord of Sabaoth.
