Truly weak are we
Truly, our weaknesses and pains.
He has taken upon Himself.
He was burdened with them,
and through Him we were saved.
Sweet lignum, sweet nails. You were the only One worthy of praise
and to be raised to the King of Heaven and its Lord.

Wirklich schwach sind wir.
Wahrhaftig, unsere Schwachheit und Leiden nahm er auf sich,
er wurde damit beladen, und durch ihn sind wir errettet.
Süßes Holz, süße Nägel, ihr allein seid würdig
gepriesen zu werden und erhöht
zum König des Himmels und Gott dem Herrn.
