Deus Noster Refugium - Psaume 45

Deus noster refugium et virtus : adjutor in tribulationibus quoe invenerunt nos nimis.

Propterea non timebimus dum turbabitur terra,
et transferentur montes in cor maris.

Sonuerunt et turbatoe sunt aquoe eorum conturbati sunt montes in fortitudine ejus

Fluminis impetus loetificat civitatem Dei :
sanctificavit tabernaculum suum Altissimus.

Deus in medio ejus, non commovebitur : adjutavit eam Deus mane diluculo.

Conturbatoe sunt gentes, et inclinata sunt regna :
dedit vocem suam, mota est terra.

Dominus virtutum nobiscum :
susceptor noster Deus Jacob ;

Venite, et videte opera Domini : quoe posuit prodigia super terram, auferens bella usque ad finem terrae.

Arcum conteret, et confriget arma, et scuta comburet igni.

Vacate et videte, quoniam ego swm Deus :
exaltabor in gentibus, et exaltabor in terra.

Dominus virtutum nobiscum :
susceptor noster Deus Jacob.


English translation

God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof Selah

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most high.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her, and that right early.

The heathen raged, and the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth;

he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the charic in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Notre Dieu est notre refuge et notre force :
il a été notre protecteur dans les maux extrêmes où nous étions.

C'est pourquoi nous ne craindions point, quand même il feroit changer
de place à la terre, et qu'il jetteroit les montagnes dans la mer.

Les eaux ont été agitées, et ont fait un bruit horrible :
les montagnes ont été ébranlées par la violence de la mer.

Le cours du fleuve réjouit la ville deDieu :
le Très-haut a sanctifié son tabernacle.

Dieu est au milieu d'elle elle ne serapoint déplacée ;
au matin Dieu la secourera

Les nations se sont émues, et les Roïaumes ont été ébranlés :
il a fait entendre sa voix, la terre a été agitée.

Le Seigneur des armées est avec nous ;
le Dieu de Jacob est notre protecteur :

Venez, et voiez les oeuvres de Dieu : que de prodiges n'a-t-il faits sur la terre ?
Il fait cesser les guerres jusqu'aux extrêmités du monde.

Il brisera l'arc, il rompra les lances, et il briilera les boucliers.

Tenez-vous dans le repos, et voiez-le ; moi, Je suis Dieu :
je serai glorifié au milieu des nations, je serai glorifié sur la terre.

Le Seigneur des armées est avec nous :le Dieu de Jacob est notre protecteur.
