Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and said;
Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit.
And having said this, he yielded up the ghost.

And behold the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
and the earth quaked; and rocks were rent; and graves were opened.

Now when the centurion, and those that were with him,
saw all that had happened, they feared greatly, saying;
Truly this was the Son of God.
