Jerusalem, if only you too could recognize at this time,
what serves peace!
But now it is hidden from your eyes.
For a time will come upon you,
when your enemies will build a wall around you.
lay siege to you and put pressure on you from all sides,
and will raze you to the ground
together with all the children within you
and will leave no stone standing on another,
for you have not recognized the time of the visitation.
