Data about the life of the work: DONA NOBIS PACEM was premiered by the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus Chamber Singers, Thomas Swan, Conductor in 1996. After attending a 1995 IFCM Seminar in Slovenia, I visited my husband's Slovenian relatives. While there, I was deeply moved by hearing of the horrors in the former nation of Yugoslavia. DONA NOBIS PACEM is my response to the tragedy. Buffalo News review of the premiere stated "The visual and auditory effect was that of smaller voices crying from their individuality and gradually blending into a prayer-like ending that could not be ignored."
