“Syrinx” by Mark Sirett on the words of Alberta poet Juleta Severson-Baker, was commissioned by Calgary Girls Choir, Adult Ensemble “Espressa” directed by Elaine Quilichini. The poetry describes a purple finch seekings its true voice, flight and freedom.
