Bûm innau'n rhodianna yn nyffryn Llangollen,|
Yn dringo y mynydd i Gaer Dinas Brân,
Yn edrych i fyny at Gynwyd a Chorwen
Tra mynydd Rhiwabon yn deifio gan dân.
Mi a welais lân ddyfroedd aberoedd y Berwyn,
A da ardal Dowrdu ar aswy a de,
Ond mi welais lân fwthyn, nis gwn i beth wedyn,
Nis gallwn i weled dim byd ond efe.
2. Disgynnais o'r castell a chroesais yr afon,
3. Yn eglwys Llangollen, tra'r clychau yn canu,
Following on from her being the pride of Llangollen, I guess the pub is the The Jenny Jones Hotel, Abbey Road, Llangollen, North Wales. Probably the only connection is that they thought it would be a good name for a pub in Llangollen!
Llangollen is on the main A5 road, built originally by the engineer Telford. It goes to the Irish ferry at Holyhead, Anglesey. Llangollen is probably most famous for hosting the annual International Eisteddfod, which is a huge gathering for competitive music, poetry, and dance. - S. S. Walker
