Inquiry for scheduling Musica workshops in 2001
Dear friends,
Please reply to this email by writing to muse(at)musicanet.org
The Musica International association wishes to program future Musica workshops with maximum efficiency, taking into account the best times for you to be able to participate. Are you interested in attending a workshop some time in the next 12-15 months? When would be the best time for you to attend such a workshop? Could you help us to organize one in your area, wherever it is in the world? Your replies will help us plan the best schedule for upcoming workshops.
Did you know that Musica, a project of the International Federation for Choral Music, is the result of work of musicians like you, themselves users of the database? We invite you to join this project by spending a very nice week with us
(testimonies from previous participants available) and contributing your knowledge and skills to the enlargement and enhancement of the database.
We remind you that these workshops are dedicated both to allow you take advantage of a pleasant workshop in which you will have full access to the worldwide database of choral music for your own bibliographic research, tutored by Musica's international coordination team, and to enable you to contribute to the growth of the database by inputting scores not yet present or by supplementing existing records with additional information.
The interest of such workshops is evident for specialists of specific repertoire who would like to share their knowledge with a world audience, for composers wishing to have their works appearing in Musica as soon as possible, for publishers who have by this mean a powerful and pleasant way to have their catalog integrated into Musica without any delay (testimonies available on request), and for national choral federations and universities that have by this mean a possibility to preserve the choral heritage of their country and culture through Musica. For more information, visit the Webpage
http://www.musicanet.org/en -> The Musica workshops.
As usual, a friendly atmosphere is guaranteed as you work and socialize with others who share your passion for choral music.
The working mood is friendly, relaxed, and informal.
Please send us an email (to muse(at)musicanet.org) telling us:
- Your name :
- Your choral music experience :
- Your interest in participating in future sessions, even if you can
not yet make a firm commitment :
- Would you like to attend a session as soon as possible? In a few months? In a few years?- When during the calendar year would you most likely be available to attend a workshop? (month, term):
- Where would you be willing to attend a session? Close to home? In your own country or further away? How much further away?
- Would you be interested in participating in an international session (generally in Alsace, but other locations are possible):
- In which language? :
- Do you wish to receive a personalized mail announcing the Musica sessions as soon as they are scheduled? :
Please return this questionnaire even if you have already participated in a Musica workshop - this will help us in our planning.
We will schedule future workshops (locations and dates) based on the replies we receive from you.
Also, if you have the possibility (or only the wish) to help us ORGANIZE a Musica workshop, we thank you to let us know.
We always need a local person who can be responsible for organizing the infrastructure of the workshop (housing, meals, computer room). Musica International provides the expertise and the technical staff for a smooth and powerful session.
